Carolyn M. Smith is a graduate of Fordham University at Lincoln Center and the Drama Division at Juilliard. She has worked with Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright on “House of Cards” in the recurring role of “Willa Penton”, Oscar Award-winning director Steve McQueen for HBO’s “Codes of Conduct” and has guest-starred opposite Viola Davis in “How to Get Away With Murder”.
She also has a coaching business called AspireHigher Coaching, which she started while still at Juilliard to help students applying to conservatory and college theatre programs. This business, and her incredibly successful career came about the moment she decided to follow her heart and audition for Juilliard, a path that she knew she had to follow in spite of the high odds she faced. If you’re an artist who is experiencing doubt in any way about how following your heart can lead to your empowerment and success, then this conversation is a must!
